My story
Let me introduce myself. I am Lily! I am beautiful and resilient like the flower. I am already spayed, microchipped, housetrained, up to date with shots, on monthly heartworm preventative, and great with kids and crate trained. I am listed as a special needs pet, because I am a tripod. However, I think i am pretty fantastic just like i am. Must be an only pet. I had a rough go of events. I was brought into the shelter as a stray with severe wounds to my front leg and back foot. After several rounds of medication, x-rays were done and it was determined that my front leg was too damaged for repair, and had to be amputated. Thankfully, with laser treatments, a skin graft, and wound care, my back foot is healing nicely.I havent let that affect my personality or spirit. I love exploring in a fenced yard, chasing after a ball, playing with toys, and spending time with my people. I love to go for rides and love belly rubs! I will do best with a family that can spend a lot of time with me. I am not a fan of being left alone for long periods of time... i am not destructive, but i start picking at my injury. My foster mom, and everyone that meets me, says I am truly an inspiration to anyone, especially those that have overcome challenges. I must be an only dog, but love everyone i meet! I am fully house trained and only use my crate when I want a little quiet time. I am truly a great girl, with low to medium energy level, and a beautiful smile!
