Lily's story
Hi folks! Im a pretty little lady that was turned in to DLRR with my sister by my previous owner because she was elderly, hospitalized and could no longer care for us or keep up with our puppy energy. Even though I came in with my sister, it was decided that we would be adopted out separately and let me tell you, I am excited to finally find my furever home! Unfortunately, my previous owner had a hard time keeping up with our puppy energy and kept me crated quite a lot so I dont particularly enjoy my crate but I will still be a good girl in there while you are gone at work....you just may need to coax me in to it with treats! I am house trained, enjoy the pool and love chewing on my Nylabone. I have to tell you though, I am a very shy girl and am fearful of loud noises and sudden movements so I would be best in a home that is quiet, relaxed and will give me the space and patience while I get used to my new environment. Because I am so skittish, I shouldnt be in a home with small children or high energy or yappy dogs. I have not been around cats. As with any labbie my age, I could use some continued training and will need lots of exercise to burn off my puppy energy. Most importantly though, I need a family that will be patient with me while I overcome my shyness around new people and things while giving me lots of love.
