My story
This baby girl was found abandoned as a stray in the city of Madison and was picked up by Madison Animal Control where she stayed for the required 7-Day stray hold. She was so skinny and her belly was so big we thought she might be pregnant or possibly just have a belly full of worms.Turns out it was a case of malnutrition. After being at MAC, she has gained enough weight that her belly has caught up with the rest of her, even though as of today, the date of pickup, she's only 18 lb! She needs to weigh more than that, to be sure. She's not sure about the world around her yet, if it's friendly or out to get her, be same goes for the people in it, but she is so terribly sweet when she trusts you then all she wants is for you to love her and to love you in return, to give and receive snuggles. She will make for a wonderful companion for someone lucky family who doesn't have small children to scare her, because they frightened her at the clinic, as did larger dogs.Smaller dogs didn't bother her so much. She will need a secure fence yard to play in once she learns how and to do her potty thing. She'll need lots of snuggles and love on the sofa with her family after being taught how to play and walk on leash. Will you be her hero?
