My husband got this Leica R9 "Starter set" -- camera body and one lens --  as a replacement for his R5, which was stolen while he was traveling.

　　I don't remember him ever using this camera -- though perhaps he did -- though it seems odd if so that there is no strap on it.  I do recall that he thought was very heavy compared to his prior Leicas; by the time he got this one, he was no longer a spring chicken.

　　However, according to write-ups of the Leica 10096 set, it did originally come with with a strap; I'm not sure where it is, but it IS NOT included in this auction.

　　This auction also does NOT include the instruction booklet, which must be AWOL with the strap somewhere. The camera is in excellent condition, having not done much since he acquired it; my grandson, who inherited his grandfather's love of Leica cameras, checked this over and says it works as it should.  The included Leica 35-70mm f/4.0 Vario-Elmar R-mount lens is also in excellent condition, and includes original caps, a soft leather Leica lens case, a screw-on reversible hood, and a UV filter (which will be shipped on the lens, but the original filter box, which is slightly scuffed/soiled, and plastic filter case will be included; see first and eight pictures).The original lithium batteries were not in the foam clam shell nor in the camera, but I am including the two Duracell alkaline batteries that I purchased for testing purposes.Summarizing, included in this auction is the camera body and two Duracell batteries (slightly used -- for testing); the 35-70mm f/4 lens with both caps, UV filter, lens hood, and case; and the original box for the 2-piece 10096 set with foam packing.NOT included is the camera strap, nor the instruction book.Free insured shipping within the US via USPS Priority Mail.
