My story
Hi beagle friends, I'm Layton (Hunter)!I came to Arizona from Texas where I didn't have a great life. So, my foster families and my doggie friends have helped show me the ropes of what a dog's life should look like! My foster mom says that I get along with other dogs... I'm a bit submissive but not a push over. I love to sleep on the couch or on the bed ... I'm sure I can adapt to whatever you, my fur-ever family, would like me to sleep.I have been around older kids, and I am good with kids and love their attention. I get very excited to go walking on a leash and I do pull but am easily corrected. I also know some commands - sit, stay, and out (i.e. out of a room). My foster says I am very food motivated and love, love, love to be around my people! I like to snuggle with my humans while the humans are sleeping, watching television, etc.Currently Layton (Hunter) is on medication for separation anxiety. He will he howl and scratch at the door when his humans leave. We expect that with a little time and exposure to other dogs in the household will correct the anxiety issue. That being said, Layton's fur-ever home should be a home where one or more humans is home most of the time.
