Layla's story
Layla was an owner surrender at Chicago Animal Care & Control because they didnt have time for her. She can start off a bit shy and wary of strangers, but once she gets to know you she is a sweetheart. She likes plush toys (mostly just to rip out the stuffing), belly rubs, and sleeping in bed with her foster family. Layla must've gotten a lot of table scraps in her old home, because she will follow you around the kitchen while you cook and jump on the sides of your chair while you eat, hoping for a bite of your meal.
Layla is good in the car and enjoys having the wind blow through her hair. She was well-behaved when she went to work with her foster mom. However, she can be a bit mischievous, and has been caught trying to get into the kitchen garbage can a few times. It doesnt seem like she knows any commands, but she is food motivated and would benefit from basic positive reinforcement training.
The veterinarian estimates that she's between 5-7 years old, 21 pounds, already spayed, microchipped, housebroken, and up to date on vaccines. The vet did notice that she has some broken teeth and thinks that Layla may have spent a lot of time in a kennel chewing the bars.
My adoption fee, including MN state taxes, is $321.55. I'm currently being fostered in the Chicago area, but can be transported to MN for the right family.
