My story
Meet Laurel! This sweet 1 year old girl is very shy. She was rescued from a local high-kill after she landed on the euthanasia list due to overcrowding and the fact that she hissed at the shelter workers. She was "caged" with another kitty (who was adopted from the shelter, leaving Laurel alone), so she will need a feline friend in her forever home to help her gain confidence and to let her know that she is once again safe. Laurel doesn’t like for you to approach her; she prefers to come to you if are being completely still. She likes a quiet, tucked away spaces to hide for the day and prefers the room to herself. She loves to come out at night and is pretty vocal, but her meow isn’t very loud. She is a good eater and uses the litter box well. Laurel will need someone who is patient and will allow her time to settle into another new environment, with new people to get to know. She will overcome the trauma she endured, but it needs to be on her timing. If you have a quiet home and you and your kitty are open to inviting this deserving young beauty into your space, she would be grateful to finally have a safe haven and never have to experience insecurity again. Laurel is a beauty and will no doubt blossom with a loving, caring forever person!
