My story
08/10/21 Lacy is a sweet girl that loves all people! She doesn't however get along well with female dogs which is why she was surrendered to the shelter. She has been said to get into some fights with female dogs, but does well with males. We are requiring she go to a home without female dogs. Her previous owner said she will show her dominance when she first meets a new dog, then after the meeting they will be best friends! Lacy knows, sit, lay down, stay, speak, go to bed and off as a command when she gets too excited and jumps up. She also knows out as a command to leave the room. Her previous owner said she had a rear leg injury when she was a puppy and will limp from time to time, but it doesn't stop her from retrieving huge rocks and sticks. She can't be left out for long in the winter due to the past injury. She also loves retieving from water. She LOVES kids and would like to go to a home with children. She loves to herd her ducks and pigs, which is normal for her breed. She is said to like male dogs, and just wants to sniff cats. We don't know how she would do with pocket pets. She is housebroken and will whine at the door when she needs to go out. She does have a couple naughty habits of chewing on things and also getting into the garbage, but she generally minds well. She has a Cresto collar on that is good until November. If you are interested in adopting Lacy, then please give the shelter a call!
