Labrador Retriever - Trixie - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog

　　Hi, My name is Trixie and I am about 4 or 5 yrs old. I am a true muttski, have some lab, maybe a little chow and who knows what in me. I am a pleasing size, not too big and not too small and I am very sturdy. I weigh about 45 lbs. I have a shortish coat and I am well behaved in the house. I would love a person who would be my leader, take me for nice long walks and give me lots of pets. I am laid back in the house but I have energy and stamina to go on some good long walks. I CAN NOT be around cats or any small animals that are not dogs as I have a hunting instinct and will harm them. I can be a bit insecure so I need someone who will take the lead and show me the ropes. I can get reactive to new dogs I meet even though I currently live with a whole bunch. I do well with another dog once I live with them but I probably would be fine on my own with my own person. I am not a dog park kind of gal but I can walk very nicely on a leash. My ideal home would be someone I can hang out with and play with and love on. I like to snuggle at night in front of the T.V. I will sleep in a crate and I currently eat in a crate. I like to gnaw on bones and rawhides and I think I might be good with older children, like 12 and up. I really need a place to call my own as I have been in this doggy orphanage for almost a year now and there are way too many here, I don't get much attention and don't get out too much though my Foster Mom tries. She feeds us well, and cleans up after us and we hang out all together in the yard or TV room at night. Once in awhile we get to go to the wash which I love! I love to get out an explore and also go for car rides. So please please please ask to meet me if you think we would be a good match. Looking forward to it...call my Foster Mom at .
