　　This is Sam (short for Samantha). I believe she has a great deal of Lab in her, as she loves the water (see the picture of her laying in the metal pan-it was full of water!), and she has that goofy, funny personality that all Labs have.

　　We found her in the woods, not far from our house. She was a little scared, we had to coax her from her hiding place. She is now about 8 to 9 months old so almost full grown. Sam weights about 45 pounds and may grow a bit more. She has a solid thick black coat. We have been working on housebreaking, which seems to be going well. She knows the sit command (if you have a treat for her!) and she is crate trained. I have wormed her, but not gone to the vet yet for her shots.

　　Sam is mostly an outside dogs. She loves to run and play a lot -- plenty of energy here so no coach potatoes! She gets along well with other dogs but has not been around children much. Sam is very shy upon first meeting but warms up quickly. Her rescuer has to move and can not take her with her so she really needs a new home very soon. She is a special dog, she just needs her forever home.
