Tall,dark and handsome -- that's Otis! He is a one year old male black Labrador mix. He has a thick black coat, cute spotted black and white feet and look at the curly tail!! Otis is a big dog, weighing 55 pounds. He was pulled from our local animal shelter where his owner had surrendered him because he was too active. But that's just being a young lab!! Otis had been down there for a couple of weeks and needed to get out so he could run and use up that energy! Otis loves to play fetch and would make a great running, walking, hiking partner. But he can settle down and hang out with you -- he even knows the "sit" command. Otis is a dominant dog so would have to do a trial to make sure he gets along with your other pet. He should be fine with children but they need to be older(12 and up) due to his size. Otis will require a fenced in yard -- he cannot be left outside unattended. We have started his crate training. Otis is up to date on his vet care, neutered, microchipped and is heartworm negative. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Otis has a lot of love to give to that lucky owner who adopts him - come meet this fine fellow soon! Update from Foster Home:Otis is a very fun and loving dog! He is crate trained and willingly goes into his crate at night and when he eats! He is a very good watch dog and is protective of his foster home! Our adoption fee is $75.
