　　Hello! Im miss Maya! I was rescued at the Mayan end-of-the-world (pfft) and it marked the beginning of my new life! Phew, Ive had a rough year. Abandoned, put in doggy jail, then got sick. The shelter is no place for a distinguished lady like me! CWN busted me out and Ive been hanging on my foster moms couch (literally!) recovering. Im a nice older gal, a little set in my ways. I was pretty spoiled in my past life and there are some things I wont budge on. Like cuddling and belly scratches. If you arent up for that, keep walking pal. A cushy bed is a must and lets be honest, Id love to warm your couch too. I enjoy regular walks (gotta watch my figure) but I dont need to go very far. I like attention and I will ask for it. Im gentle on my leash, potty trained and know how to use a doggie door. I dont dig, chew or counter surf. My wild lab puppy days are long behind me. My foster mom never bothered with a crate because Im so good in the house. I love treats and Im gentle with them. I get along with my 4-legged siblings but between you and me, Im more interested in my peeps (picked up that slang at the shelter, yo). I get nervous when they play too rough. I do love children. They love on me and its the best! SORRY NO CATS I spent too many years as a couch potato. Im just learning how fun exercise and the outdoors can be, but Im still a little fearful of new things and places. I need a little help on my confidence. My foster family has been working with me to overcome these fears. Im comfortable in my new home and neighborhood but I get nervous at places like the vet, parks or busy streets. Im just learning how to play again. With a little encouragement I can catch a tennis ball like a pro so I know I used to play long, long ago. I would love someone who is patient and willing to work with me on overcoming my fear so I can be a relaxed and happy girl all the time. I am a devoted girl and I promise to be the best friend ever if you adopt me!
