　　Koby is a slam dunk! This is Koby, a fun loving two year old male golden retriever/yellow lab mix. He has a handsome gold coat with a white chest. The coat is a little longer than a regular lab coat. Koby weighs 42 pounds and needs to love just a few pounds. Koby had been adopted out by HSWA a year ago and was in a loving home with a couple of dog buddies to play with. But his owner has hit on some financial hardship and is moving and can?t afford to keep Koby. So he is back with us to find him another loving home.

　　Originally, poor Koby had been down at our local animal shelter for almost 3 months!! He had been a stray that someone took on for awhile but they just didn't have the time to take care of him so they surrendered him. We were surprised he has been down there that long because Koby is such a nice, friendly dog. He will make a wonderful family pet.

　　Koby is very energetic so he needs a nice fenced in yard to run and play in, this is no couch potato! He is still jumpy when he meets you so better if the children are seven and older. Koby is good with other dogs, we don't know about cats. He knows the "sit" command. His previous owner had this to say: Koby is happy and playful all the time. He loves everyone he meets. He was mostly and outside dog but when he was inside for an extended period of time, he seldom had accidents. Koby would be wonderful with children cause he loves attention. Be warned ? Koby thinks he is a lap dog!! He can be a little mouthy with your hands but it is always in a playful manner. We are working on his crate training. Koby is up to date on his vet care, neutered and is heartworm negative. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Koby is very ready to become part of a loving family again-- will it be yours???
