Labrador Retriever - Jaime - Large - Adult - Female - Dog
Beautiful Jaime came to RUFF Rescue through the love and caring of her foster dad. Jaime's guardian was an elderly man who mistreated and neglected her and her buddy Fido by leaving them outside in the elements for the last two years of their lives. He disciplined them by spraying them with a hose, so at first, they were very frightened at the sound of running water. They are still somewhat warry when they hear running water, but will allow their foster dad to bathe them. Since they have been in rescue they have learned to walk on a leash. They have been meeting all kinds of people, so their social skills are improving and they are now kennel trained and house trained. They did not know what it was like to be in a house, but have found it to be a wonderful experience and they love socializing with their foster dad and his friends. Their previous guardian was ill and went into hospice care and then passed away. They were going to be taken to the Humane Society but were so socially inept that there was little hope that they would have been adopted. So, through the kindness of a hospice nurse and the foster dad, these two dogs are now safe and looking for a new forever home. Jaime is about three years old, has a beautiful sable coat and weighs about 70 pounds. To Meet Jaime, please call Donna@( or email [email removed] for an application.
