Labrador Retriever - Daisy - Medium - Senior - Female - Dog

　　Daisy is a 13-year-old, spayed, heart-worm negative, Labrador. She has lived her life as the caretaker of a 50-acre farm, keeping the chickens safe, and the garden and farm acreage free of rabbits, squirrels, and coyotes. Daisy was given a unique task of keeping the barn cats out of the yard, yet to live peacefully with them on the farm. Daisy's senior owner is no longer able to care for her. Daisy is a youthful, powerful Lab, with the ability to dash across the pasture, dive into the pond, and then zoom back across the pasture all in a few seconds time. True to being a Lab, she easily switches to a calm, indoor dog, eager to be with her humans, lying contently nearby. Daisy has never had an accident inside and loves her own small fan blowing on her while comfortably sleeping in the living room. Daisy knows basic commands including sit, down, stay, come, wait, leave it, take it, and loose-leash walking. She is in excellent health for her age, other than some arthritis in her lower body and hind legs, which does not interfere with her daily walks and short runs, with a low tolerance for heat. She loves to fit in and gets along well with all people and dogs; she delights in going to the park and downtown Art Strolls. When Daisy's owner was a frail 80-year-old walking unsteadily toward the garden, Daisy body blocked her again and again, refusing to let her continue, even in the presence of stern scolding. Unbeknown to Daisy's human, a menacing snake was in the garden that Daisy was determined to protect her from. A new owner will receive free training with Laurel Rose of Such A Good Dog to make sure the adoption goes smoothly for both Daisy and new household.
