Kya's story
Kya is a sweet girl with a very loving temperament. She is great with all dogs, large and small, and is very loving towards humans. She is just under 2 years old, and will be 2 in February. She was surrendered because her owner moved into an apartment and realized she she was not able to give Kya the attention and exercise she needs in such an environment. She also stated that Kya would become destructive when left alone for too long
we want to stress that almost any young husky would do the same, as this is not a breed that does well alone for long periods of time!
Kya lacks basic training, but has an amazing personality to make up for it! She just needs an owner with some patience who is willing to work with her and help her learn what she is and isnt allowed to do. Currently, she jumps up on humans, jumps up to check out the counter, pulls on a leash, doesnt seem to quite know sit (or if she does, shes ignoring us!), and will bolt out an open door if given the chance. These are all very typical behaviors in a young untrained husky, and with time and patience, she could become to make an amazing family pet! She would likely have few problems with children, but we wouldnt recommend for extremely young children as she does jump.
Her sweet, loving temperament would make this girl an easy addition to any husky-familiar home! Please fill out an app today if you are interested in adopting Kya!
