My story

　　Kuma has not had a good start in life. He was born 2/2021 and has already had 2 owners, a foster (not through this rescue) then found himself in a sled dog yard in wicket cold temps. This boy does Not have a double coat and is Not an outside dog. He has some obedience but will need to be socialized with people and other dogs slowly. Because of all these changes in the first 11 months of life he needs to decompress. He needs to have socialization, but done correctly and done slowly. Before asking anything from him, he needs to establish a bond with his person. He needs to be able to trust his new person that they will care for him and not set him to fail like everyone in his life has done so far. He would do best in a quiet home, not a home with kids running around. He would do best in a home where there are not a bunch of other dogs. If there is one dog in the home he will need to be separated from that dog so all the new changes in his life can go slowly. So many people have expectations on how a dog should react, They set the bar so high that the dog will fail every time and then they blame the dog. Humans have made this dog the way he is. It is the goal here at the rescue to allow him to move forward at his own speed, Not the speed I think he should go. If there is another dog in the home, it is best for that dog to be stable without issues. He could benefit from a rock solid dog but will not do well with an unstable dog. Because he will need a few visits, folks outside the Fairbanks area would not be doable.This boy is fully vetted, vaccines upto date, chipped, and neutered. All adoption fees are $400Please do not email the rescue asking if he is available, all our dogs are available for adoption unless their ad states adoption pending next to their name.
