Gorgeous cooktop, apparently lightly used and well cared for (see photos), but overall looks great--glossy and black, with only a few faint scratches. It was thoroughly tested and all functions work perfectly. It boils water amazingly fast. The two flaws I found are minor, but I want to point them out: First, on the front left underside at the corner is what appears to be a tiny chip--I almost missed it in my inspection. From the top it's completely invisible--once installed you'll never know it's there, but I polished it anyway to ensure there are no rough edges. I've taken a few close-up photos of the area so you can judge it for yourself. Second, on the back right burner, just left of center is a slight discoloration under the glass, but you have to look for it. I photographed it in the sunshine so you can see it, but under normal lighting it's almost invisible. This is normal for these cooktops. On the whole, though, this cooktop, still being sold by KitchenAid, looks pretty close to new and is being offered at less than half the price of a new one.
