Kira is the most perfect, wonderful, sweet girl. A stray from Fresno, this two year old Cattle Dog mix is good with other dogs, smart, quiet and calm. We'd love to keep her around because we love her so much, but obviously we want her to find a forever home even more!
Kira has a foster, so what she REALLY needs is a permanent home. You won't be sorry if you can give Kira one. Cattle-Dogs are the best! Originally developed as a herding dog in Australia, they are hardy, intelligent, and protective.
Kira will do best with older children as like any good worker of her type, she will have a tendency to try to "herd" the little ones.
If you would like to meet Kira, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at our site:
See the menu of options on our homepage. You can find out about our non-profit rescue organization and adoption/foster policies there. No fee to foster and we provide support as needed. Adoption/donation fee is tax-deductible and sliding scale.
As we are San Francisco-based, you must live in Northern California to adopt or foster one of our rescues--you must be able to meet the dog in person. But FIRST, we need to know about you so as to match up the right potential adoptee with the right potential adopter! Once we have your information, we will contact you as soon as possible. Thanks!
