My story
02/24/22 King came to the shelter as a stray and was not redeemed by his owner. King was previously at the shelter in 2018 for a bite quarantine. The victim felt strongly that King bit due to being rattled after an earthquake a few days prior. King had no prior reports of aggressive behavior and here at the shelter King has been nothing but sweet towards his animal tenders! However, King is very strong which makes him difficult to walk. He would highly benefit from going to a basic obedience class to work on his manners! Due to King coming in as a stray we really donâÂÂt have much information on him. He appears to be housebroken and has done an excellent job at keeping his kennel nice and clean! He can be a picky eater so finding the right treats is key! We do not know how he does with children or other animals so please take caution when introducing him to new people and pets. He has seemed friendly towards his doggy neighbors at the shelter and presents with loose and friendly body language. Due to his strength and size we are requiring that he goes to a home without children under 12 years. King would love a second chance and to find his new forever home! He is hoping for someone strong to take him on lots of walks/adventures and teach him some fun basic obedience! If you are interested in meeting King please give the shelter a call!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt *KING, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
