Gorgeous 1930 King Silvertone trombone, with the solid sterling bell. I believe this is the Artist Solo model, with a dual .461/.481 bore. This would be the predecessor to the Liberty model, which was the predecessor to the incomparable 2B. The silver plate is certainly original, with a few very small scratches, the gold inlay on the bell is beautiful. Fantastic almost trumpet-like tone quality. Appears to still have the original inner slides, with separately soldered stockings, possibly originally nickel plated. My local shop has aligned the slide to be as good as he can make it, but it won't play like a modern slide with one-piece chrome plated inner slides. Case is solid and doesn't smell, comes with a couple of vintage (probably 1930's) Kansas State decals as a bonus.
