My story
07/30/21 Kimbo was surrendered to the shelter because his behavior suddenly changed. According to the previous owner, Kimbo was always friendly towards other dogs that he met, but recently he attacked another dog and injured it. Due to this unpredictable behavior we are requiring that Kimbo does not to go a home with any dogs. Kimbo is young and going through his `teenage phase`, he would highly benefit from obedience classes with a certified trainer to work on his issues. The previous owners stated that Kimbo is housebroken(whines), gentle when playing, affectionate and knows many commands `sit, stay, laydown and shake`. He is also said to do very well with cats and has been friendly and gentle with babies in the past. However, his experience with children, small pets and livestock are unknown. Kimbo does have a couple of mischievous bad habits such as getting into the garbage, jumping up on people/counters and chewing/digging, these are all typical of young dogs and training along with consistency can help him mature into a wonderful family companion. If Kimbo sounds like the dog for you, please give the shelter a call to make an appointment to meet him!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt KIMBO, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
