My story
Name: KermitBreed: Terrier MixAge: 7 years old (as of 2021)Temperament: FriendlyGood with other dogs: NoGood with Cats: unknown, but can test for approved applicantGood with kids: Yes, older kids preferred if anyHeartworm Status: NegativeKermit sadly was neglected and confined to a small cage, which prevented his legs from developing correctly. As a result, he does not walk like other dogs as his back legs are bowed. He doesn’t realize that he walks differently though, and compensates by LOVING bellyrubs! He is the sweetest boy and deserves a great family. His ideal family would be a low-key energy level type of individual or group that is only interested in one pet. He loves bellyrubs above all else. He also really appreciates being put on a leash and walked for as long as his legs will let him...and then more bellyrubs. This is actually his preferred position, hence his crazy happy photos! He would make a great couch potato kind of dog, a perfect family dog. He is very good natured and a jovial kind of dog that has no idea he is any kind of different.----Peach County Animal Rescue is a rescue located in Fort Valley, GA. Our adoption fees range from $250-350+. Although our rescue dogs share a common bond with one another, no rescue story is the same (even when similar). Vetting costs vary depending on their health conditions. All of our dogs are fully vetted: up-to-date on annual shots, spayed/neutered and microchipped with a lifetime registration.
