Meet Kit and Kat!Kit & Kat are a pair of sisters
looking for a forever home or foster family until they are adopted. They are petite girls already full grown at approx 8 pounds and 14 months old. Both are social and outgoing. sweet girls who are great with cats and comfortable around dogs. They have never lived around children, but likely will also do well once a proper child/kitten introduction has been done. They love attention, but can also be independent and do their thing so little humans wanting to pet and play with them would likely be an environment they do well in, as they would with a single working adult who is interested in adopting or fostering both girls OR have another cat friendly cat at home as the girls need to either be adopted together (they are not bonded) OR into a home with another cat friend because they love the same energy and companionship they receive from other feline friends. The two sisters are happy, healthy, and looking for the forever home of their dreams. Kit and Kat's Original Rescue Story:These 2 adorable sister siblings (we think) were accepted as relinquished from a Tijuana, Mexico 'Refugio/shelter'.Sadly, the girls arrived in pretty bad condition, emaciated ,and having horrible gastrointestinal issues. We thought we had received a transfer of the 3 month old kittens they had asked for help with. When we received them, we noticed these girls are 6-7mo old and only 2.7 pounds (Kit) and 3 pounds (Kat). The poor girls were very vocal, most likely hungry and stressed from not being able to control their bowel movements and had obviously been dealing with extreme dehydration and the inability of keeping anything in. This, most likely, caused them to be so small. Thankfully, we started treatment right away and, although it was one of the most extreme cases we had seen in a while, we were excited to see changes/improvements on the 3rd day of treatment and so happy for them to finally be able to use the litter box and to stay clean and be comfortable. From then on, everything was uphill and the two sisters began to thrive on their journey to find a forever home. If you are interested in adopting these sweethearts who are SO deserving of the forever home of their own where they will know that they are safe, will not go hungry, and will be loved for years to come, please submit an application online at arwob.org. They have a lot of love to give, and, as a bonus to them, it would be AMAZING if they are adopted together as they seem to have gone through so much together.
