Kassie *NEEDS FOSTER*'s story
Meet Kassie! Kassie was originally transferred from a high-volume shelter after being found as a stray, then brought to us through another shelter partner with her sister (who has since been adopted). She has been in and out of homes since she was a puppy and sadly has not found the right fit. She is incredibly scared of the world around her, especially men. Despite being so nervous, she enjoys being outside, seeing her favorite people, and will cozy up on a bed when she feels comfortable. She is seeking a special home that can be patient with her, preferably with an outgoing dog that can show her the ropes. She plays well with other dogs and would do best in a home without kids due to her nervous nature. We will update as we learn more, but in the meantime, ask to spend time with Kassie today!
Kassie is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met (please email us first). All animals from DHA are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption. She is available for adoption or foster, with the intention to adopt (aka a trial period only offered to "Lollygaggers" or medical cases).
Kassie is 1 of several animals that is seeking a "Breakaway Buddy" foster. This requires dedication and experience to help them become the best dogs they can be, while also prepping them for successful homes down the road (or maybe even yours)! If you are genuinely interested in one of these special dogs, please email Steph at [email protected]. Please include the following info: the dog you're interested in, who lives in your home (humans and animals), if you are able to keep your home secure from visiting children during the foster period, and your experience. Thank you!
