　　I'm really surprised at how nice and full the tone is on this uke. I'm a guitarist, primarily, and my wife bought me this set as a gift. I'm lucky to have several professional quality guitars, and I expected this to be a bit of a toy; not true! The tone is full and balanced, and it projects a surprising amount of volume considering its small body. Easy to play straight out of the box, no work required. A friend of mine spent $700+ on a custom-made uke, and I've had multiple people tell me this Kala sounds better than that one. I'm very happy with this instrument, and I'd be glad to recommend it to anyone.
