My story
12/09/21 Kairi was adopted and shortly returned due to not fault of her own, because the new owner's family was not interested in having a dog. She was described as the BEST behaved dog by the brief adopter. She went potty outside and at night slept in the the bed with the owner. Keep reading for more information about Kairi. This girl is looking for a forever family that would love to spoil her for the Holidays! Kairi is still required to go to a home without cats due to previous chasing behaviors. If you think you and Kairi would be best friends, then please give the shelter a call. 12/04/21 Kairi was returned to the shelter after a few days due to competing for attention with the other dog in the home and nipping them. Her previous owner did say that Kairi did well with the other dog otherwise. Kairi is partially herding breed, which are prone to nipping. She would highly benefit from a class with a certified trainer to help her manage these behaviors. Kairi is very outgoing and friendly. She is said to be housebroken and will scratch at the door when she needs to go out. If you are interested in meeting Kairi, please give the shelter a call!11/29/21 Kairi was brought here as an owner surrender because the previous owner could no longer properly care for her. She stayed with the previous owner only for 2 weeks but she was great with babies, children, men and women. She was said to bark at strangers but she does really well with her animal tenders at the shelter.
The previous owner stated that she does play with dogs but chases cats sometimes, so we are requiring that she go to a home without cats. There is no history how she does with pocket pets and livestock.
She knows some commands such as sit, laydown, and stay. She is also potty trained.
She is such a sweet girl and needs a forever home. If you are interested in Kairi, please give us a call!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt KAIRI, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
