My story
10/22/21 Juno was recently returned to the shelter because her previous owner felt they could not adequately provide for her. She was having difficulty with her owner's long work hours and had scratched up the door to the apartment when she was left loose, and started breaking out of a wire kennel when she was confined.
The owner was concerned for her safety (as she could get trapped in the door of the kennel if she kept trying to force it open), and realized that an apartment with people who weren't home during the day was not the best fit for her. Juno was described as a friendly, affectionate, and outgoing girl who loves adults by her most recent owner. She will still have the restrictions of going to a home without children under 12, no other dogs, and no cats. Juno knows a few commands such as come, sit, stay, and kennel. She is also housebroken and loves to go for car rides! A sturdier, reinforced kennel may work for Juno, or it may be worth having a conversation with your regular veterinarian about medication that will help Juno adjust to a new routine. If you are someone who is home more often than not, or can work with Juno on her apparent separation anxiety, please give the shelter a call- Juno would love to meet you!!10/07/21 This sweet gal is Juno. Juno was surrendered because she was fighting with the other dog in the home. Because of that we are requiring that she goes to a home without any other dogs. She was also said to like to chase/play with cats because of her desire to chase kitties we are also requiring that she goes to a home without cats because we feel it would be unfair to a cat living in the home. Juno was also said to be a bit `nippy` towards children so she is limited to a home without children under the age of 12. With that being said Juno would make a perfect pet for the right person! She is housebroken (will go to the door) and kennel trained! She is said to mind well and currently knows the commands sit, shake, and kennel. Her previous owner did state however if she is off leash and a person goes by she will chase after them. Juno should be properly restrained when outdoors either on a leash or in a secured fenced in area. She was described as a very outgoing, friendly, and affectionate girl but does also have a vocal side to her. If you are interested in this cuddle bug please give the shelter a call!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt JUNO, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
