Juno is a beautiful girl who came to CCR in 2016 from Kansas as a feral young dog. We have no other history on her, but we are guessing that she is about 2.5 years old and is a Husky breed. Juno has been with CCR since 2016 learning to trust humans and has been through a board and train program with Prestige K9.
Juno is still extremely leery of humans and will avoid human contact with strangers if allowed. She loves to play with other dogs and does well with dogs of all sizes. She is a medium to high energy girl and needs to go on daily walks. She will make a great jogging/biking/hiking buddy and loves to stretch her legs running beside a bike. Juno loves to go on car rides and explore the world. She walks well on a leash, knows all the basic commands, and is kennel trained.
Juno's forever home must be experienced and have knowledge of working with fearful dogs. It will likely take Juno several months to warm up to her new human parents, so they will need to be willing to give her time. We would love for Juno to go to a home with a yard with a tall fence and another well balanced doggie friend to help her see how great humans can be. We think she will do best in a home without small children and will be happiest with active parents who will let her experience the world with them.
If you are interested in adopting Juno, please submit an adoption application located on our website, coloradocaninerescue.org. We are asking for a $200 adoption donation. She spayed and up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Please note, CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter. In addition, most dogs listed as potty trained will experience an adjustment period as they learn the routines in their new home. 3/28/18 12:23 PM
