My story

　　Hello there! My name is Josie. I am around 10 years old! I came to High Country Humane because my owner couldn't care for me anymore. Maybe I should tell you a bit about myself first! I'm as snuggly as I am affectionate. I am shy at first around strangers, but have such a big heart and am so sweet once I get to know someone (don't worry, it won't take me long to warm up)! I am allergic to chicken and duck, so need food and treats that do not contain those ingredients. I love salmon, beef, and bison! And one of my favorite things to do is hanging out with my person. I love butt scritches and cuddles! When my person comes home for the day, I get so excited and grab my favorite toy to greet them! I have a sweet demeanor, and would love to receive all the attention, so please no other animals in the home.

　　I am a VERY smart girl and know the commands/tricks: come, lay down, shake, and sit! If you ask me "Where's your toy?" I will go hunting for it and bring it back to you with a wagging tail! I could use some help with leash training as I am a strong little gal, but love to go on walks and to be outdoors! I'm laid back which means I go with the flow, whether it's a movie day or a light hiking day!

　　If I sound like your next pal, then come meet me! I want to show you how laid-back four-legged living is done. I have plenty of love left to give because love doesn't keep track of years.

　　Oh, and I'm told you may want to know these things: I'm fixed, microchipped, and up-to-date on my vaccines. I also need to go home with a leash and collar. If you don't bring your own, you can easily buy them onsite for $5 each!
