Jonah is a sweet puppy who came to Colorado as part of a litter of 9 pups. The puppies were exposed to Parvo and sadly a few didnt make it but the others either did not contract the disease or have completely recovered. The litter was whelped between January 13th and the 20th so they are approximately 2.5 to 3 months old. Jonah appears to be a Border Collie mix but that is only a guess made by shelter and rescue staff. We think the puppies in this litter will be medium sized dogs (30-50 lbs) as adults.
Jonah is the smallest at 9 lbs. He was hand fed when he got back from a week in the hospital for Parvo, so he's used to being cuddled and handled. He is gaining weight quickly and is strong enough to wrestle with the other puppies. He even comes out on top sometimes! One might be tempted to call him spoiled, but when you've been that sick, you deserve all the spoiling you can get. He would love it if his new family could provide him with squeaky toys, a huge favorite for him.
All of the puppies in the litter are wild as March hares and will need a family that can provide them with enough exercise and play as well as a big yard. They are not housebroken yet and chew on everything as puppies do. They all are affectionate. They all recognize their names and seem to be smart little cookies.
If you are interested in adopting Jonah, please submit an adoption application located on our website, coloradocaninerescue.org. We will contact you as soon as we receive it and have reached out to your current veterinarian and checked your references.
We are asking for an adoption donation of $290 as well as $50 for the spay/neuter deposit that will be returned when CCR receives confirmation that he has been neutered. The spay/neuter must be done within 90 days of adoption. Please note, CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter. 4/25/18 1:19 PM
