My story
Johnny is a typical teenager! He's so happy and just wants to play. He's good-natured, supposed to be good with kids and cats. Johnny caught a plane ride to Colorado, and, while he didn't like getting in the crate, soon settled down and was a good passenger. He was pretty calm upon arrival in Colorado Springs. He is being neutered today (9/12/19) and will be going to his more long-term foster tomorrow. He's a beautiful black and white mix who is very energetic. He needs training, as he really doesn't know how to be a dog (who knows where he had been when he was picked up in Amarillo). He's tough on a leash. He accepts a crate grudgingly but quiets down quickly once inside. Johnny is mostly house trained but has been in the shelter since July, so he is a bit of a back-slider. Johnny needs a family who is willing to invest time and patience with this silly dog who just wants to make you happy. With training and consistency, he's going to be an awesome family pet. He could be a hiker, a jogger, a runner, or a biking companion - you choose!
