John Deere commercial grade TRX26 snow blower.
Features track drive system for ultimate traction and cleanup.
6 forward speeds and 2 reverse speeds, adjustable auger direction and chute height control, and also features lockable down pressure to improve cleanup when you have packed snow and ice. Ballast bag on the front with a cab kit (not currently pictured) and clean out tool.
Two stage impeller compresses the snow and throws it further away from where you don’t want it and closer to where you really wish it would have fallen in the first place.
This has a Techumseh 10 horsepower Snow king motor with manual choke and primer kit.
Starts right up and is ready to get the job done.
Also has electric start however it’s a bit temperamental as it seems it isn’t lined up quite right (sometimes works great and sometimes just spins).
If you want to be prepare for a real winter storm and need a nice sized blower to handle the job here’s what you want.
26” cutting width gets the job done but is still narrow enough to fit around your cars and driveway and not rip off your sprinkler heads.
Adjustable feet allow you to raise or lower the blower in case you need to blow over rough / gravel terrain.
Yes this may be an older blower but it was built when engines made real power and had the ability to tune and adjust the carb for peak performance versus the new models that won’t run properly, can’t be tuned, and have a flimsy cheap steel housing that twists and flexes
just pushing it across the yard.
Why shouldn’t you buy a cheap wheeled unit?
Tracked units are superior if you have uneven terrain, steep slopes, or
desire ultimate traction in snow and ice.
Wheeled units spin easily versus getting traction and pushing through the snow.
Tracked units have a lower center of gravity and superior balance preventing the blower from tipping up and back.
This keeps better contact with the snow for ultimate cleanup.
