Joel's story

　　Hi! My name is Joel! My human friends call me No! Stop that! Just one of many cute nicknames I have. Im not sure what it means though... anyway, if I could choose my OWN name, it would be Mr. Jumps A Lot because I have got HOPS! Im pretty proud of my jumping abilities and like to show them off as much as possible for the humans by jumping all over everyone I meet! I also like to show them how strong I am by pulling on the leash when they walk me. Chicks love muscles, right?! And oh yeah! I demonstrate my toughness by grabbing on to the leash and shaking it when you first leash me up. This is one of the times they call me by my nickname, No! Stop that! These people love me, what can I say?! Im a super friendly guy and looking for a family that can keep up with me. I love to stay active! Come meet me today, please!

　　The human here... silly Joel is perhaps a BIT misguided in his understanding of his nickname, but he means well!

　　He is a super active guy who would really benefit from a little polishing; some leash manners, a few basic commands. Dogs like Joel need something to keep their minds active, and training is a great way to do that! After I had Joel out, he had a meet and greet with a family, and I was pleased to see that he had settled some- this guy just needs time to burn off his energy. Joel came in with another dog and was social overall during his dog eval. Bring your dog in to make sure theyre cool with Joels energy. No small kids for Joel due to mouthiness when he gets excited.

　　You can visit this ball of energy at the MCAC West shelter in Phx (2500 S 27th Ave., Phx). Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Joe's $25 adoption fee includes neuter, rabies certificate and County license.
