My story

　　Joe Joe is a 2-year-old male Pit Bull mix who has already been neutered. He came to us as an owner turn in when his owner could no longer care for him. Joe Joe's short coat is black with a little bit of white markings; in the sunlight he appears to be have some chocolate highlights. Joe Joe is a VERY handsome dog. He currently weighs 60 pounds so he is considered to be a large dog. Joe Joe is a very sweet guy who is both friendly and affectionate. He would be fine in a home with older children; but due to his size we would not recommend he be in a home with small children. Joe Joe would not intentionally hurt a small child but he might accidentally knock a child down. We think he would do best in a home with absolutely no cats. As for other dogs--Joe Joe is dog selective. He likes the company of some dogs while not liking others. If you have another dog, we would suggest you schedule a supervised meet and greet to see how Joe Joe and your dog get along. We know Joe Joe would appreciate a nice fenced yard where he could safeIy play. Joe Joe is quite well behaved and appreciates any attention given to him. Joe Joe is very well behaved on a leash and we would hope his owner would take him on nice walks daily to give him some exercise and spend extra time with him. This friendly big boy would make a really nice family dog; please consider opening your heart and home to Joe Joe. ****Please note that when introducing a new dog into a home with children and other pets adult supervision is strongly recommended until the new dog settles in with the family.****Dogs may be adopted for $120. Cat adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
