Jitterbug was rescued during Hurricane Harvey. She is an extremely active and smart dog and is catching on to her new training very quickly. Although she's a ball of energy, she also knows how to settle down nicely. She particularly enjoys car rides. Born in 2015, Jitterbug is very sweet, but she will guard food and may guard toys as well. She has shown this behavior by reacting negatively when another dog got near her while she was eating in her crate. Other than that, she has done well with all dogs she has met at the Sanctuary, though she has shown aggression toward cats and can't live with them. At Dogtown, Jitterbug is working on training cues including 'sit,' 'wait and 'go to your place.' She is also doing crate training to get ready for what she wants the most: a home of her own.
