*JIMMY's story
Jimmy came to the shelter as a stray, so not much is known about him! He appears to be an outside dog and does well in our sled dog pen on a chain and dog house, but has also behaved nicely in an inside kennel while recovering from his neuter surgery. Jimmy is a friendly dog but shy, so his new owners will need to ensure that they are able to properly contain him, either on a leash, tie out or with a secure fenced in area, so that he does not go on the lam again! As an outside dog, Jimmy may not be housebroken, so will either need to go to a home that will keep him as an outside dog, or who will be patient while he is learning insided dog manners. It is unlikely that Jimmy has experience with small children, small animals, or cats, so he should probably go to a home without small critters, and caution should be exercised when introducing him to kiddos. Jimmy may do well with other dogs provided that proper introduction methods are used when meeting other puppers. Jimmy is a young boy with plenty of pep in his step and he would love to go to an active home that can get him into skijoring, mushing, or long walks on the beach!
