Looking to create a new ending
Jill and her feline companion Tucker were relinquished when their owners moved. Losing your humans and your home is hard, especially on a senior cat. It is confusing and sad for the cat. They are subjected to a constant barrage of alarming stimuli, including noises, strange smells, intrusions from unknown humans, close confinement, and the often-frightening sight and smell of other unfamiliar cats - as well as loss of all familiar social contacts and all past comforts and amusements.
Jill spent many of her early days with us tucked under a blanket. But gradually her naturally outgoing personality would make her come out and call to anyone who walked by. Jill no longer hides
in fact she is front and center when someone walks into her room. Jill loves people and spending time with them. She thoroughly enjoys
pets and you will enjoy running your hands through her thick, soft fur.
You would never guess that Jill is 16 years old when you meet her
she looks and acts much much younger. She is spry and loves catnip and will roll and act like a kitten when you give her some. Jill is intelligent and curious and looks you right in the eye when she wants pets, more catnip, or just your attention.
You would also not believe that she is enrolled in our Life Time Medical program due to a heart murmur and chronic renal disease. Being enrolled in our Life Time Medical program means that we are looking for a foster home for Jill
home in which she can live out her life with PAWS taking responsibility for all of her medical care while she benefits from the TLC and warm environment of a home.
Being so sweet, attentive and interactive Jill will make someone a loving and dedicated feline companion. Are you the one who will help Jill create a new ending?
You can meet Jill at the Coronado Animal Care Facility. The facility is open daily between 9:00 am and 11:30 am and 12:30 pm and 4:00 pm (except major holidays). It is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.
If you are interested in fostering Jill, you must first come in and meet her. If it seems like a good match, the next step is to contact the Cat Adoption Team by calling Bob at
to discuss the possibility of fostering Jill.
