Jet's story

　　Jet (Black) is her name and she is in a need of a very special adopter. This beautiful girl is a spaniel mix, approximately 3 years old, who weighs about 35 pounds. We are looking for just the right adopter who is looking for a big project. You see, this girl lived in a hoarding situation for the first few years of her life, and has essentially had very little human contact during that time. She then ended up in the shelter, while waiting 6 months for a rescue to step in and help bail her out. Her foster mom has been working with her, talking to her, showing her kindness, and teaching her how to trust. In her foster home she has lived in the backyard where she feels most comfortable. She often sleeps on the back porch, loves playful romping sessions with other dogs, and weve recently discovered that she LOVES puppies. She is also very gentle and submissive by nature. Our hope is to find an adopter that loves Jet and will continue her journey, guide her in learning about a living inside, and slowly build a human-dog relationship with her. We think an adopter that has other dogs would be ideal because Jet loves other dogs so much.

　　This girl needs someone who is dedicated to helping her discover to love and trust humans. She has a long way to go, but we feel confident the right adopter is out there looking to provide the right love and rehabilitation she needs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations as well as heartworm prevention.
