　　Name: Jersey girl

　　Age: 3-4 years old

　　Breed/Weight/Coloring: Jersey is a petite little girl weighing in at about 45 lbs. She is a short-haired dog that has a boxer face mixed with a small little pitty body. She is mostly white with beautiful black markings on her body and cute black ears.

　　Rescue History: Jersey girl seems to have once had a home - she is used to love, affection, and a home environment. We believe she got spooked by some fireworks that were being set off and escaped her home. She was found by a kind samaritan all bloody and beat up as it seems she got attacked by another dog on the streets while lost. This kind person took her to the shelter and kept tabs on her hoping her owner would come for her. Nobody came. She spent some time healing in the shelter hospital and was then moved to general population where she was overcome with fear as she huddled in the back of her kennel scared out of her wits. The kind people who found her couldnt stand it anymore so they adopted her and she is now in foster care awaiting her forever home. We waited some time to put her up for adoption so we could let her chill out and figure out her perfect home. She is now happy, healthy, and care-free ready for her forever family to find her!

　　Personality: Jersey girl wears her heart on her sleeve, there is literally not one mean or grumpy bone in her body. She is in love with love! She is a very people oriented dog as nothing makes her happier than cuddling and receiving pets from her favorite humans. She would be totally fine with canoodling all day on the couch with her people. She enjoys meeting new people and always greets them with a tail wag, moving in as close as possible for some body rubs too. Jersey girl is a quiet, mild-mannered, very delicate girl who spends most of her days lounging on her dog bed gnawing on her favorite chew bone or hanging with her foster doggy siblings. She enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along with all other animals very well. She doesn't really play with them but rather spends her time licking their faces. Affectionate is her middle name! Jersey loves going on walks so much that when she sees the leash come out she starts hopping on all fours just like a bunny. It's funny to watch because she can actually get all fours off the ground for walk time. She is not a puller as she enjoys to leisurely stroll throughout the neighborhood taking in the sunshine and all the smells. She wouldnt be the best hiking/jogging dog as she's not overly active and energetic...she's more on the calmer, lounging side. The way to Jersey's heart is feeding her carrots, her favorite snack. She is crate-trained and knows that outside is for potty. When her foster dad comes home from work he gets a chuckle out of her 'very cute muffled bark' as he puts it. In all, Jersey is the ultimate sweetest baby girl who will make someone very happy with all the unconditional love she has to give.

　　Medical: spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, no health issues.

　　Would do best: Jersey girl would flourish in almost any type of environment. She could be in a family with another dog and children (8 and up), or she could be a furry best friend to someone looking for a companion pet. She isn't a very high maintenance pup so somebody that works but also has enough hours to devote to this special little girl would be fine. She is an easy pup to assimilate into most any home and even easier to fall in love with!

　　Cats/Dogs/Kids: Jersey girl is a sweet-natured dog and would do best with a dog her size or larger.

　　We do suggest a no kitty home and kids older than 8.
