Jemima's story
Jemima is a beautiful little girl, aged around 4 years old, and weighing in the low 40lbs range.
She is quite timid and shy on first meeting, and was likely kept as an outdoor only dog before she came into rescue, so it took some gentle cajoling to get her used to being indoors, which she now loves and appreciates!
She has not been used to the leash either, so this is another thing her foster family is gently guiding her into accepting.
She appears to get along with other dogs, but as with any dog to dog introduction, we'd recommend patience, caution and care. She likely did not have much exposure to other dogs, and so she can require some guidance as to proper manners and not sticking her face into all and every situation expecting a good response!
We have not tested he with cats, other small critters, or children yet, but would expect she has a normally high prey drive for smaller, wild animals (squirrels, rabbits etc) and again, would recommend caution with any introduction (regardless of the dog's breed).
