Jean 29666's story
Meet Jean! She is a 1-year old, solid white, spayed female cat. Check out those beautiful blue eyes! Jean came to the shelter with five kittens; she and the kittens went to a foster home where she took great care of them and was an amazingly attentive cat mom. All of her kittens have been adopted and now it's her turn. Her foster mom nicknamed her 'Funny Face' because of her funny little mouth. Jean is sweet, loving, affectionate, and likes to sit in your lap. She would be good in a home with older kids and would need time to adjust to other cats. Please consider giving Jean the best home ever! She is currently at the shelter.
You may remember our directed spay/neuter campaign this past spring--'Spay Neuter Autauga County'-- which was made possible by a $20,000 Petco Lifesaving Grant. PAHS has remaining funds from this grant and we are happy to announce that effective December 1, 2018 all adoptions will be reduced by half! For the month of December (as funds will allow) cat adoption fees will be $25 and dog adoptions $60. We are thrilled to offer this gift to the animals and people of our community. Upon partnering with Petco and receiving these monies, PAHS pledged to work toward 'live outcomes' with shelter animals; we believe half-price adoptions will fulfill this promise and is a great way to end the year! Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heartworm negative.
