Jax's story
Say hello to Jax! Jax is a young senior fella who still has quite a spring in his step. He considers himself to be a great adventurer and loves to sniff around and explore the yard, or go on a walk. Jax also considers himself to be quite the tennis player... although is version of "tennis" consists of chasing the ball, then running around with it in his mouth showing off. ACE! ;-) Jax is a bit more of an independent guy when it comes to people. He is happy to sit next to you and chew on his ball, but he is also just as happy to make his own entertainment if you're busy. Jax knows "sit" for a treat or his toy and would love to learn more!
Jax was defensive during his dog eval. Basically what this word means, is that a dog is uncomfortable or undersocialized with other dogs. Jax growled when approached and was stiff, but didn't escalate beyond that. If you have a dog at home, a dog intro is required to make sure everyone gets along prior to adopting. And of course, if you want Jax to be your one and only, even better! :-)
You can visit 7 yr old Jax at the MCAC West shelter at 2500 S, 27th Ave., Phx. Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Jax's $25 adoption fee includes neuter, rabies certificate and County license.
