Jax's story
Jax - 8yo, lab/pointer mix, 73 lb., neutered, blind, MEDICAL EXPENSES SPONSORED by PETFINDER FOUNDATION
Jax is loving and mellow, a great dog, easy to take care of, gets along with people and dogs. He is blind from birth. He was picked up in KS as a stray, probably abandoned on the street.
He is light, in great shape, has beautiful chocolate color coat and brown eyes. You would never tell by his looks that he is blind until you see him bumping into furniture. He doesn't take long to learn his way around. He is smart and attentive, and tilts his head in adorable way when you talk to him as if not to miss a word.
Jax is fun and easy to walk on a leash or without the leash - he follows you. If there is a dog already following you, he will follow that dog. He trusts you to show the way and stays by your side or behind, often touching you with his shoulder and listening to your steps. It's a joy to show him the world around - he is curious and appreciative. Would be great companion, so capable of deep connection.
