Jasper's story
Jasper is lucky to be here! He was surrendered to a shelter in California in December and lived there for about a month. We were able to get him out of there jut a few days before he would have been killed. A generous man drove to CA to bring him back to Arizona so he could get a second chance at life, and he was brought here with Arctic also from their e-list.
We estimate Jasper to be around 4-5 years old based on his teeth and energy level. He is not a total psycho and seems to be past the puppy insanity stage. He doesnt chew things up or get into too much trouble, though he has marked on furniture a few times in his foster home. He seems to be getting better with this as he gets comfortable but will need some continued attention.
He still has energy and like to wander around and explore, and does come up to you for pets and kisses. He has been working on re-developing trust and has made leaps and bounds of progress since getting out of the shelter! He is SO much happier to be in a home with people and other dogs after that scary loud cage he had to live in for a bit. He likes toys, and the only time we have seen him get upset with another dog was over a toy being snatched away from him. He also knows some basic commands! Jasper can sit, lay down, and shake both paws - he gets VERY excited to shake. He seems so happy that someone discovered all the things he knows so we can communicate with each other!
He doesnt seem to mind other dogs at all
he isnt super crazy playful with them yet, but he doesnt try to fight or argue with them he is both curious and tolerant currently. He has shown a little bit of play from day to day, which hints that longterm he could slowly grow into becoming more playful, but that is his status right now.
Jasper has been neutered and updated on medical and he is ready for his forever home!
