Meet Jasmine! Jasmine is a friendly, energetic, and playful 3 year old pit bull / lab mix. She'd love to have a family with another friendly dog her size to play with, as she enjoys wrestling, playing, and hanging out with other dogs! And if you have a kiddie pool that you'll fill with water for her, even better. Jasmine's quite fond of splashing around in the pool.
During play time she hangs out with medium and large dogs and she's super social and playful - she's a happy, tail-wagging girl, but is a "rough player". With humans she doesn't know she'll bark for a few seconds, but stops immediately upon verbal correction, so we know she'd benefit from some additional trainer-time as she's very smart and willing to learn. She's responds well to basic commands like sit, stay, come, leave it, and wait, and she takes treats gently.
She's great at fetching tennis balls, she even brings them back to you, and adores the chuck-it toy. She could probably play ball for hours! Jasmine is an incredibly smart dog, and she's super treat motivated and eager to learn, which makes it really easy to work with her on training tricks like sit, shake (both left and right!), lie down, roll over, stay, leave it, etc.
At her foster home, she hasn't had any accidents, so we believe she is potty trained.
Her ideal home would be with a family who understands, respects and loves the breed. Jasmine looks to her leader constantly for praise and approval so strong 'pack leader' skills are a must. She seems leery and somewhat frightened by kids. She's incredibly intelligent and would love the challenge of additional training. Being energetic, play time with another dog is encouraged. A pool or water play area would be icing on the cake for her. Jasmine's a sweetheart with a heart of gold.
Jasmine is spayed, microchipped and has had all her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $250 and there is a mandatory home visit prior to adoption. No small animals (cats, dogs under 40 pounds), no small children (12+).
