　　Bed has very little hardware. The legs are designed so they fit together and there are wooden pegs to hold the slats under the mats in place. Super easy to put together. Bed is currently disassembled for transport. The two tatami mats can be used as shown in the photo and the whole bed can be used as is for a meditation platform, or you can get a futon mattress to lay over the mats for an authentic Japanese bed. The mats can also be removed and used on the floor and the frame used for a platform bed mattress that would sit slightly inside the frame on the slats.

　　This is a very versatile piece of furniture and simply beautiful. I would keep it but have no place to put it inside my current house.
