Jane's story

　　Jane is a friendly and outgoing fluffy Chihuahua mix. Jane will happily meet new people and always wants to give you kisses! She oftentimes considers herself a lap dog and has no problem snuggling up to you! Jane used to live with another dog in Arkansas before being surrendered to a very, very full shelter. She is thrilled to become a Colorado canine! Jane has tested positive for heartworm disease, so is looking for an adoptive home to foster her first (we call this Foster-to-Adopt) while Animal House provides heartworm treatment for Jane. This treatment requires trips to Animal House for veterinary care, including injections and recovery time. Jane will need to be kept low energy during her treatment and it is ideal that her adoptive family be local. Please feel free to ask our staff to learn more about Jane and heartworm disease. Jane's kind demeanor will make her a perfect dog for nearly any sized family!
