Jake's story

　　Jake is a very special dog that has been in rescue and foster a very long time (since 2015). Currently he is residing at our shelter location. Jake can be strong willed and will do best in an adult only home as an only dog with an active owner to provide him the exercise he needs and that knows how to be a strong pack leader, willing to be patient and provide Jake with obedience training he needs without use of force or negative discipline. Jake is incredibly smart and is housebroken. He requires an owner who is an experienced handler as he can be a bite risk to strangers that attempt to handle him before gaining his trust. H e's the perfect size, not too big not too small.... He's also a superb walking companion, going for walks and outside time are his favorite things, he also loves belly rubs and giving kisses. Jake is a lot of fun, enjoys chewing on some nylabones or kongs and just being near you, he is affectionate and can be possessive of his humans.
