Jake 27880's story

　　Jake is an 1-year-old male Redbone Coonhound who has already been neutered. His coat is red and he currently weighs 58 pounds so he is a big guy. Jake came to the shelter as an owner turn in because his family could no longer take care of him. He is very active and playful; so much so Jake would need a large fenced yard where he could safely play. He is good with other dogs and would be good with children but he is so rambunctious he probably should not be with small children. Jake would not hurt a child intentionally but he might playfully knock a smaller child down. This is a gorgeous dog who is funny and comical. Jake craves attention and will do anything to get it. Please come out and meet the shelter clown and see if he would be a good fit as your new best friend.

　　Dogs and puppies may be adopted for a fee of $120. All cats and kittens may be adopted for $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heartworm negative.
